Completely redesign human enterprising
Machines are great. They make life so much easier.
Washing machines, printing presses, and motors of every kind.
But humans are not machines. And a gathering of humans does not convert them into machines.
Yet this is the world we have created at work. Human machines working in machine-like enterprises.
Linear. Clock-like. A gathering of people as parts. Strategic plans. Only considering what we can measure as valuable. All reducible to one measure. How much money do we make?
As we go about industrialising humanity, teaching creative minds to follow the straight line, and to become a part in a system of parts, we lose our connection to what brings us alive.
Which cannot be found in mechanistic, linear precision.
Life is emergent. Messy. Unpredictable. Infinitely creative.
People are multi-facteted in their skills and abilities. Yet we seek to squeeze diverse brilliance into a silo of monochrome.
As we do, we lose the opportunities for synergy, which happens when people are given a field that enables their wholeness to work with others’ wholeness. And in losing synergy, we lose the greatest exponential technology available.
Humans working together in ecologies of synergy.
It is time to completely redesign human enterprising towards an expression of living systems, towards an ecology of health.
This is what we are doing in Syntropic World: creating living enterprises with inherent regenerative capacity woven into the design—for people and for our planet.
