Over the last few days, I have deliberately deleted almost every article in my news feed. I turned off the news radio and stopped any form of scrolling. I have no idea what is going on outside of my little world.

I have noticed the difference. I have felt the anger settle from a constant simmer to calm.
Digital despair is real. It is the current version of a Little Atrocity. (https://syntropic.world/little-atrocities-the-path-from-integrity-to-self-deception-and-bad-business/) Slow, slow, slow, micro feeds that shift mindsets and thinking. Mine. Yours. All. Our minds are owned by the controlling empire. The technofacists and oligarchs. Even my 92-year-old father, a dedicated reader until he became blind a month ago, was possessed by right-wing propaganda he read religiously from cover to cover every day.
The creation of a sense of despair and powerlessness is a useful tool of supplication. Keep the people docile.
The Wizard of Oz is fiction. But we have made it real.Â
Unhook, untangle. See it for what it is.Â
