Planet Earth, you are a crew
Said astronaut Christina Koch on April 11th 2026.
Bucky Fuller said, “We are not going to be able to operate our Spaceship Earth successfully, nor for much longer, unless we see it as a whole spaceship and our fate as common. It has to be everybody or nobody.”
The message is similar, from a man dedicated to making all of life successful, to the first woman to travel so far from Earth’s orbit.
One Spaceship Earth, one crew.
To rise above the small and petty, to unite across tables for the success of all life – human, animal, water, air – to know that nothing I do over here is separate from your life over there.
One crew.
Everybody or nobody.
Yet the rulers and Empire practice divide to conquer.
Shall we stop giving permission to be conquered? Shall we refuse to play the game of division?
Every day, every moment, a choice. One crew, or 8 billion people who are different to me.
Together, or the heroic atomised individual.
