Amplify.
Some time ago I was accused of being hard to work with. In this context, it was entirely a gender-based comment.
Given the larger context of the project, it floored me literally.
Wisdom teaches me now that I instead might have turned the comment into a badge of pride.
Yes. I can be hard to work with. Yes, I have something significant to say. Yes, I am a stand for integrity. For justice. For respect. For the voiceless.
And no I will not apologise for that.
And no, I will not be silent, or invisible.
I will not go demurely into that good night.
I will rage, rage, against the attempted killing of my light.
I will rage, rage against the killing of any person’s light.
