To belong
To be a part of.
One of our most primary needs as humans.
To belong we must first find the parts of us that have been exiled. The parts of us we have exiled from ourselves.
The parts or whole of us that have been exiled by others.
Bring them all home to the heart. Love them tenderly.
Know that in our deepest desire to belong, we are connected to the deepest desires of all of our fellow humans. Those who have been exiled by war, famine, economic and environmental cruelty. Usually at the hands of people who have been exiled by their own lives and families.
The antidote is not more exile. The antidote is embrace, love and creating spaces and places of belonging.
