All truth is partial
I was in a conversation with my partner, Tony, this morning about righteousness.
I will define righteousness as an absolute.
This is right. No other perspective, idea, opinion or worldview exists.
It is, by definition, a closed mindset. It is the house of fundamentalism.
And that is both the paradox and the performative contradiction.
Righteousness squeezes out optionality, and zero optionality squeezes out humility.
One cannot adopt a righteous position without also being arrogant, closed-minded and diminished.
I love being right. The question, the gorgeous question, is, do I prefer to be right or do I prefer to be open to emergence?
All truth is partial. This is an absolute, righteous statement, and also a code to live by.
