Dangerous questions
Are the best questions.
They force confrontation with the truth.
The questions we do not want to ask, because we are terrified of the answers.
Questions that threaten our identity, the story we have told ourselves about our life and work.
Questions like
Is it true? Really true?
What would happen if it were not true?
Who told me it was true, and why do I believe them?
How would my life change if I committed to truth and integrity, even at the cost of my carefully manicured identity?
Most people never ask the dangerous questions. Life appears safer within the spell of delusion.
Yet the dangerous questions are where our greatest freedom lies.
The truth shall set you free, but first it might very well piss you off.
