Dehumanisation is the point
Today, Pope Leo said this.
Among these ideologies, I consider particularly insidious the one that suggests that every person must earn or justify his or her own worth, to the point of attributing greater value to those who are more efficient or effective. From this perspective, persons end up being reduced to a means of achieving results, a resource to be used and exploited, and are no longer recognised as a proper end in themselves who should never be instrumentalised. The value of persons, however, does not depend on what they achieve or produce. There are rights that apply to everyone simply by virtue of being human, and no human power can legitimately deny or arbitrarily limit them.
Our capitalist system needs to extract in order to exist. Extract from human labour, or our beautiful Natural world. And in this new world of AI, to extract from the work of humanity to date, scraping all the data and art and beauty and repackaging it into a mishmash that produces enormous capital for those who extract.
In order to continue to do this, the lords of Empire rely on sustaining the myth that our value and worth are correlated to our work and income. You need to feel unworthy for the system to work. You need to feel valuable if you are a resource and lacking in value if your work does not gain traction or produce the required outcomes.
Of particular value to the capitalist system are those who extract exponentially from labour and nature. The more you dehumanise, the more successful you are at accumulating capital.Â
Human Resources, the actual term we use, is a part of the dehumanising language.Â
Dehumanisation is the point. (And objectifying our Earth and her creatures.)
A parent will look at their newborn child and see worth and value intrinsic to their child. No need to earn. Simply to be.
With each passing year, the intrinsic worth of a child is reduced in the eyes of the capitalist system.
There are rights that apply to everyone simply by virtue of being human, and no human power can legitimately deny or arbitrarily limit them.
This is the world Syntropic World stands for. And to support a recalibration of our value and worth, towards a deep recognition of our value for being, we created Synergistic Accounting. (https://syntropic.world/the-evolution-of-human-experience-shaping-the-future-with-synergistic-accounting/)
