Influence is power without force
Influence – from the Etymological dictionary.
late 14c., an astrological term, “streaming ethereal power from the stars when in certain positions, acting upon character or destiny of men,” from Old French influence “emanation from the stars that acts upon one’s character and destiny” (13c.), also “a flow of water, a flowing in,” from Medieval Latin influentia “a flowing in”Â
Influence is flow versus force.
Yet influence has a range of flows, from deceptive to intregrous.Â

To become a person who influences is a responsibility. Some people recognise their responsibility and use their influence to support justice for all.Â
When we know we have the power to influence others, and we all have this power, whether as parents or friends, wisdom asks us to use our influence for good, to never allow our influence to covertly or overtly subjugate the will of those we influence.Â
This is a threshold. Which path do we choose? The moment we take the path of the dark magician, its power infects and becomes its own generator. We might become intoxicated by its power.Â
