No choice is free

If you want to value your humanity, to value others humanity, to value that which makes life possible, please stop using the words ‘this is free’ in any context.

Free and freedom comes from the etymology meaning beloved and friend. Being free is being free from bondage, having free will.

Being free as a person is to be unfettered, out of bondage.

Being free of a financial fee is to devalue or to reduce value, or to consider it has no value at all. Even the sunshine is not free. The sun pays a price of its own long term destruction.

Imagine if we considered, even before we harness the energy from the sun, the sunlight to be of incredible and significant value?

Imagine if we considered the tree to be of such sacred value that to do anything to it but observe its majesty is to debase its value?

Imagine if we saw every human has having incredible value?

Somehow we have shifted from being unbounded free humans to unvalued humans undervaluing life support of us and our planet.

We have designated humans with their urge to be free of bondage, free to have free will, to also being without value. To come at a low or insignificant price in dollars.

Freedom to have choice is the quest. But no choice is free. All rights come with responsibilities.
