The Counterforce to Entropy
The prevailing opinion is that we live in an entropic Universe. It is heading slowly yet persistently towards breakdown and collapse. When we look at the geopolitical scene, the inaction on climate breakdown, the genocides and human to human cruelty, and the horrid images of rubbish and plastics clogging beaches and killing animals, including humans, we might agree.
Entropy rules.
Yet there is a counterforce to entropy, and Bucky Fuller demonstrated mathematically that Syntropy is the greater force.
If we allow the current system, including systems of governance, accounting for value, and leadership, to use the tools of entropy – the tools of collapse – then collapse is what we will get.
The counterforce is Syntropic.
Against the breakdown of entropy, syntropy is a tendency toward higher order, increased complexity, and evolution.
We need to move towards Syntropy as a matter of urgency.
Immediately.
We need to imbue all of your systems, structures, tools and models with Syntropy.
We must name that all our current attempts at change, the practices of corporate sustainability, ESG and CSR are failing. Rather than real change, they are rearranging deck chairs on an already hull-pieced Titanic.
