Tools to think and act differently

You cannot change how someone thinks, but you can give them a tool to use which will lead them to think differently.   — R. Buckminster Fuller

I was thinking about this quote when my partner and I were chatting this morning about an email I received that was so steeped in superstition and conspiracy, my instinct was to not reply, for any reply would only be some kind of attempt to pierce the veil of illusion|delusion.

How do you speak into a worldview that is closed? If completely closed, then there is no way we can influence change by discussion, argument, or force.

We must create tools and ecologies that enable change to happen over time.

The Law of Interference is the law of how we see. Sight is a result of reflection. We see ourselves more clearly when we are reflected.

To be reflected we need to be in relationship, including having an intimate relationship with ourselves.

Creating ecologies where self and other reflection and development by design are built into the architecture is essential for growth and maturity.

Weaving into the relational architecture safety, rigorous accountability and responsibility, agency plus collaboration, advanced sense-making protocols and skills, practical and theoretical opportunities and applications, and deep trust are key.

These are the types of ecologies we create with great deliberation in Syntropic World.

We get to grow up together as we work on the thing that matters for a world with a future for Earth and all her creatures.
