We get the world we say yes to
One thousand small steps.
Every step counts. It feels insignificant each time we say no to a lie, an inappropriate touch, a sexist remark, an act of discrimination.
It feels like the mountain of change is too high, too far away.
Yet we must persist. Steadily. Calmly. Fiercely.
No. This behaviour is unacceptable!
No. I am a human with equal rights!
No. I will not let you get away with this lie on my watch!
No. You cannot dismiss people as if they are numbers on a balance sheet!
No. Our earth is our home, not a resource to play with without care of consequence!
Changing culture is a daily commitment.
We get the world we say yes to.
