We must anchor ourselves to the truth of Gravity

When I teach the Principle of Gravity, I hold a glass of water in my hand and ask people to tell me what will happen if I release my fingers. 

100% of everybody knows the answer to this. 

The glass will fall. 

You cannot argue with this, at least not while we are on Planet Earth and not off planet.

Evidence and truth. Reality and deception. Fact and interpretation. Perception and perspective.

Yet we now live in a world where the evidence, for instance, a video capturing someone saying something live, no AI enhancements, is said not to be true. 

“The result of a consistent and total substitution of lies for factual truth is not that the lies will now be accepted as truth, and the truth be defamed as lies, but that the sense by which we take our bearings in the real world—and the category of truth vs. falsehood is among the mental means to this end—is being destroyed.” Hannah Arendt

We must anchor ourselves to the truth of Gravity. 

Rather than be seduced by the Siren call of chatbot friends, the modern tool of addiction that turns our already susceptible minds into mush, we must reclaim truth. 

Even if we want to believe that the glass will not fall, or go sideways, or up, we must know that it will fall. 

Humanity has fallen under a massive spell of deception. 

We believe that scarcity is the always way. The truth is we live in an abundant Universe, with enough food and energy for everyone. We believe that those who have accumulated wealth of money and power are smarter than we or better than we. They are smarter at being grifters, exploiters, and spell casters, but they have relinquished empathy and humanity in the process.

We believe that capitalism is the way things are done. And that humanity plays a win-lose game. Survival of the fittest. 

It is all BS, propagated by a system and people who thrive from the deception.

The latest stage of this deception is when we can be convinced that the glass of water will not fall.
