We need a clear vision for a better world
The worldview of people like Musk, Trump, Thiel, Zuck and the other bros is not a worldview I aspire to. The future they are striving for is not one I want to live in.
This raises a question.
What does the world look like – the one you and I might want to live in?
It might be wise to create a common vision of what this world might look like as a starting point.
The current dictators of the vision of the world are the technofeudal bros. This is terrifying to acknowledge. The largest story of the future winning the airwaves is theirs. Mars, anyone? Runaway AI? The need for security-enclosed estates and bunkers against the coming rise of the hordes. (That would be us.)
We need a new vision, new visionaries. New stories of possibility. A vision that is beautiful, one that unites rather than divides.
If we do not have this vision, then we will find ourselves – as we currently are – lurching in the dark, hoping for better, against a behemoth shape-shifter with vampiric tendencies.
Before we can proceed, we need to unite around the vision and story that galvanises us to act. In Syntropic World, we speak of the evolutionary purpose.
It is a vision that inspires action, commitment, love, care and dedication.
This is where we start. Bringing the divided and divisive together under a common longing.
