A Syntropic Enterprise is a new way of doing business for a world with a future.
When we create a business where purpose comes before profit, and we enshrine this into the constitution of the business, we are taking a good step towards becoming Syntropic. This is the model of Bcorp’s and Benefit Corporations.
However, this doesn’t address the issues of power and control.
In our current enterprise systems, he who has the money has the power. This mono-focus on money as king dismisses and diminishes all other forms of value. It also enables the level of corruption that is rife everywhere we turn.
Unless we uncouple the power and control from the capital, unless we ensure that power rests in perpetuity with those who carry the purpose of the business forward, in integrity, we will not create a world where Syntropic Enterprises are ubiquitous.
Steward ownership is a way towards this. We need to design many others if we want a world with a future.
*Syntropic Enterprise = an enterprise that enables a higher order. By nature, it evokes gravity (attraction) and coherence towards an eternally regenerative Universe.
