Keeping the status quo
Just doing the minimum, keeping the status quo, staying in the very middle, keeping the equilibrium, just doing your job…these are all acts of decay.
The tension lives between too much diversity and too much efficiency. The in-between is not a set point. It is a movement, a vibration, a dance, a constancy of change.
We might long for stasis. To find that sweet spot and stay there forever.
Yet our desire for this, our attempt to keep things, systems, relationships..this way, is a sure invitation of decay and death.
Life, nature, existence, is a dance, movement, change. The moment we sit back and allow same-same….the moment we do not engage with movement, diversity, novelty, surprise..is the beginning of the end.
