Sovereignty and its pair, dependency
One of the Principles in Syntropic World is that Unity is plural, at minimum two. Polarity is required for existence. https://syntropic.world/unity-is-plural/
To up, down.
In, out.
Good, bad.
Everything has its complementary pair.
One of the precessional effects (https://syntropic.world/imagine-if-our-goals-are-not-the-point-the-principle-of-precession/) of the COVID era was the desire for sovereignty. For people to have dominion over their lives and choices.
Yet the truth is that not one single person lives in isolation from relationship to other people, Earth and her creatures.
We begin, in all things, as a part of a greater whole.
While sovereignty, as we teach it at Syntropic World, is to be whole in yourself, it never denies the fact that we are also, simultaneously, part of so much more.
To believe that to be sovereign is to be able to do whatever the hell you like is immature and irresponsible.
By all means, go and live on an island. Or create your own little state.
Even then, you will never be independent from the effects of climate change, polluted oceans, the need for food and goods made by others through supply chains that you do not control.
Sovereign citizens – those people who refuse association with the state – who use roads, hospitals, supply chains, who breathe the air and drink the water, are dependent upon infrastructure that works.
For a person seeking to be whole and complete in and of themselves, to be sovereign, there is a deep and profound acknowledgement that they are first dependent upon the health and success of the whole.
This is the mature state of sovereignty. In order for me to be whole and complete, I need a world that is healthy, whole and complete.
Syntropic sovereignty is a version of the bodhisattva vow. Until everyone is thriving, I will not rest, for I cannot thrive.
Dependency and sovereignty are the two sides of a single coin. (And the more rights you have, the more responsibility – also two sides to the same coin. https://syntropic.world/considering-the-value-of-everything-rights-and-responsibilities-are-complementary-pairs-how-to-inhabit-the-world-as-a-citizen-of-spaceship-earth/)
