Awakenings
Once we have a collective vision of the more beautiful world we want to live in – I wrote about this here – we must then learn the tools and weapons that allowed us to arrive in this place of intense polarity, fear and hate.
People resist this step because it means confronting the painful. Naming truth in a post-truth world.
Breaking the trance of the spell we have been captured by in a neoliberal, imperialistic world, where if you are not winning the game, you are a loser.
Transformative change doesn’t happen unless we know exactly what needs to change.
Few people take the time to deeply understand the architecture and design of hate and division.
In Syntropic World, the Awakenings Journey takes us down into the underworld – the archetypal journey of knowing the dark to see the light. Like the Goddess Inanna (I wrote about my descent into the underworld in 2012, here), we prepare for the descent to ensure we return towards the light better for the journey.
Awakening to the business-as-usual system of entrenched colonisation and exploitation, design features, not bugs, of capitalism, our legal codes, how we measure things by not measuring most of what matters, and how we relate to Earth and our creatures.
We must see the air we breathe and know the contents of the toolkit we never consider questioning.
Transformative change to something better can only happen once we have confronted, in full, how what needs to be transformed was created.
